This is my daughter and Buckwheat whom she has the pleasure of learning from each week. I decided the day I moved here it would be place for all to enjoy the moments we often are too busy to see. All of us, no matter our age, who have the opportunity to know these amazing animals learn from them and about ourselves each moment we are given.
OUR MISSION IS SIMPLY! QUALITY CARE, IN EVERY DETAIL. I BELIEVE A HORSE SHOULD BE ABLE TO EXPERIENCE A NATURAL WAY OF LIFE, THE RESULT IS AMAZING AND ALLOWS YOU THE OWNER TO AVOID THE RESULTS OF STRESS DUE TO AN UNHAPPY HORSE.
Quality care, every day and night.
Exceptional feeding program. Most of the horses that have come here are underweight, poor digestion, overall lacking the expected spunk these animals are known for. Our regimine is proven and is taken very seriously, apon move in with the clients approval a plan of action is made to return the horse to its intended state of well-being,
Turn out with grazing, they are ready to come in at the gate, that tells you they have played and ate to their content.
In these economic hard times I realize that quality care is expensive, but I have been able to keep our costs controlled with small yearly increases. I want no boarder to be unaware of costs, I have experienced that. All the ammenities are included in our costs, so that you are able to budget fot the cost of such an amazing animal to share you life with... based on stall size costs range from $300 to $400 per month, the costs are guaranteed until January 2011.
The majority of our stalls are $325 a month and all is included no billing, no surprises, no doubts we are doing all we offer.
Vaccines are scheduled twice per year by our barn vet, savings to you. Dr, Baumler is used for all emergency calls unless agreed otherwise, she is excellent and thorough and very fair in her pricing, just as important to me for my 3 as you. One may use any of our wonderful valley vets as well but a tight schedule is kept on all vaccinations costs are the clients responsibility. I give a two week schedule to vaccine if you do not comply you will be asked to leave we take vaccinations very seriously here.
Streph, rabies, 5-way and flu rhino are all mandatory and west nile is recommended but not required to be a client.
We also have a few barn farriers, Fred Fisher is exceptional and the barn farrier shoeing or trimming is expected, I can help keep track of that as well but costs are the clients respnsibility as well. Horses may not exceed 8 weeks, 5 to 6 is the average here, if thier feet are not done I cannot turn them out for thier well being. They depend on us as their owners to care for them. Once they are too long serious damage can be done when running, so to prevent any tendon issues we will resume turnout once their feet are cared for as we have all soft surfaces they do not wear down naturally as in the wild.
.
Pasquel and his wife Lorena - They have been working with horses for many years, their connection and care for the horses is unmatched. They are responsible for their daily cleaning, feeding and turnout in the morning and afternoon. No one works harder than these two, they are a gift to have here. Their son is also taking lessons here as well.
Wendy- a boarder of 3 years is a certified trainer specializing in horse therapy work. She feeds in the evening and prepares all grain supplied for the horses as well. She has twenty years experience and so much to teach.
Teal- a boarder of a year, assists with feeding and turnout as well, she is such a focused part of the team as well. She is also excellent at working any horse for you, even the babies. She forms a unique bond I have never seen before. She personally conditions one of mine that needs the extra exercise and I could not be happier. He is a handful and times in the arena, prefers trail by far.
Samatha- a boarder of a year and a certified trainer , offering lessons in western, english, and group workshops; she does it all. My daughter takes lessons with her too. Sam does 30 to 90 day trainings. If you have a friend with a difficult horse she is your trainer! The horses Sam works with are welcome to stay here so she is able to work them 5+days.
Peter- 40 years experience, dressage compitiion and trainer and amazing asset to our family. Part time for now but looking forward to his help with the growth of the stables. Early 2010 we will hopefully have a second arena a few doors down where the dressage and therapy work will be done.
Again, it is not necessary to board here to learn from any of our wonderful trainers. You dont need a horse to ride with them, they will have one for you in the exception of dressage. You may also trailor in your own horse but all vaccinations and worming records will be reviewed.
Ask me about any of them and I will be happy to give you them their number to discuss your needs. All average $40 per hour lesson and offer package deals, amazing prices and amazing trainers.
Only one lesson is allowed at a time so their is always plenty of space to ride. We are not a training barn and do not specify in any one discipline. All are wonderful! The arena is yours to ride in... you may have to share it from time to time but there is plenty of space, besides somedays its great fun to ride with new friends. Also many boarders ride out, if you are new to this or a new horse owner we go in groups usually so let me know and I will hook you up with one who knows the terrain outside the barn for you to ride with. Its great for the horse and part of the reason you got one in the first place to experience that freedom.....
I myself review daily feeding and maintenence of each horse to ensure their optimum health. I will send out fun emails to get info to all or personally to assist in reminders for vaccines, farrier work, etc managment of all inventory staff reviews and feedback.
